Health by Lifecycle Channels
No one classification system consistently defines differences in key health issues and needs during the various phases of life. Yet, such differences do occur in all of us during a number of phases between birth and death. Health Power is sensitive to the fact that at a given point in time, some of our visitors and users may have a specific interest related only to individuals of one gender or sex, or to individuals in one phase of life, or lifecycle. Therefore, we have established the following six "Lifecycle Channels", most of which also have sub-phases:

- Mental Health Channel
Health Power considers a healthy mind, which includes in our view control of mental illness, an important component of one's overall health and well-being. This channel is dedicated to addressing related issues. The channel's first entry, bipolar disorder(s) has generated increased interest in recent years. Part of that interest is due to the fact that many highly creative and high achieving individuals have experienced a bipolar disorder, also called manic depression. - Spiritual Health Channel
Traditionally, multicultural populations have understood the major contribution which religion and spirituality make to healthy living and meeting the demands and stresses of the day. Even an increasing number of "mainstream Americans" are developing an appreciation for the benefits of things spiritual. This section provides an ongoing opportunity for consideration of such issues, visions and experiences.
The content for this channel comes from a variety of sources, including a collection of poems by Helen J. Goodwin, Ph.D., mother of Health Power's Founder and President. Written over many years, those poems reflect the kind of spiritual grounding from her parents which has greatly benefited Dr. Norma Goodwin, in the good times as well as times of adversity.
